The club had all 15 table in action for the first Junior Closed Championships held at the club over the first two Tuesdays in May 2025.
Despite the club only being open for just over four months the success of the coaching evenings was evident in the standard of play achieved.

A selection of comments from parents “Just wanted to say a big thank you for hosting the competition tonight,” the boys are absolutely buzzing,” “I can see he’s improved a lot,” “what a great experience for them all.”
The boy’s final was a classic attack against defence with long rallies and some excellent retrieving by Flynn Kemp but it was the consistent attack of Raffaele Andreatta that won the day 13-11, 8-11, 11-8, 14-12.

Ava Gillivan fresh from representing Kent Primary Schools at the national school’s finals proved too strong in the Girls final beating Elsie Monder 11-5, 11-6, 11-5.

In a hard-fought attacking battle Felix Adam beat Harry Lawes in the Consolation final 11-9, 6-11, 4-11, 11-5, 11-6.

The trophies were presented by Shevon McDonald who sponsored the junior Club Shirts.

Delyth North, Maidstone Table Tennis Champion and founder member of the New Maidstone Table Tennis Club was honoured by an invitation to the Kings Garden Party on Wednesday 14th May 2025.

Delyth, an ex-Welsh International with experience playing in European, Commonwealth and World Championships is giving a lot back to the sport with regular coaching at the Maidstone Table Tennis Club, as well as playing at a high level in the Veteran British League and Individual events.
In addition to her work with the Maidstone Club, Delyth runs an after-school Table Tennis club at East Borough Primary School where she teaches. She also organises many sporting competitions and events, giving the children at her school many opportunities to be active and try new sports.
Youngsters in the Maidstone area who would like to be coached by Delyth and Maidstone’s other coaches should come along to the Maidstone Club on Tuesday evenings. Delyth is especially keen to attract more girls to the sport.
